Stretch Therapy
Everyone needs to stretch, but we never make time for it. Stretching and massage therapy have been proven beneficial for many chronic conditions such as back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression and more. Why not combine your deep tissue massage with some stretches?
What is Stretch Therapy?
Stretch Therapy is an expression of active and resisted stretching techniques and exercises, where the therapist maneuvers your limbs into varied ranges of motion. Assisted stretching is applied throughout the session, helping to release spasm, muscle contraction and tension, always working within your perfect range of pressure and stretch.
What will a session feel like?
This style is performed without any oils or creams, and requires the client to wear loose flexible clothing, allowing the therapist to stretch the client’s body beyond its holding patterns. The client relaxes and will feel many gentle compression’s along lines of muscle tension. With each long, slow stretch the client will feel the stress, pain and tension melt away. Through guided instructions on when, where and how to participate, your own added stabilizing and resistance movements within deep stretches will feel awakening, strong, and flexible.

Are Stretch Therapy sessions safe?
When done by a trained and licensed massage therapist, yes. This work is safe, effective and painless, not to mention profoundly relaxing. The amount of pressure as well as finding a balanced level of elasticity in your tissues is carefully monitored throughout the session, and easily adjusted for the clients comfort. Stretch Therapy and any combination of it being blended with any form of Barefoot Massage is not a No Pain, No Gain style of bodywork — the safety and well-being of the client is our foremost concern.
