Can we massage you at your house?

Thank you for your support and love of our work = we appreciate you and can’t wait to get you underfoot for a massage soon! While Heeling Sole’s office is closed, we TOE-tally understand your need (and knead) to get a massage. The build-up of stress stored in your body, the unchecked aches and pains that you can’t help but notice… the new positions you are having to conform to all day (laptop on the couch is my bad habit!)

I get it, I understand… I want a massage so bad, too!

But we can’t. Even at your house… not even if we just one-at-a-time it at the office.

Here are some reasons why:

  1. Being that the Texas Massage Licensing boards have mandated that we cannot massage until at least 5/18/2020, the individual Therapists, as well as my Massage Establishment Licenses, would be at risk if we were to provide a massage service. We could lose our licenses, and we could be fined.
  2. Working on the side may also put the Sasquatches unemployment at risk – and as I currently haven’t been approved for the PPP’s 8 weeks of payroll for them, we are all completely reliant on the state’s unemployment checks for our income, in addition to any fundraising/donations being made to us. If the Sasquatches were to massage “under the radar” right now, that would also impact their ability to be rehired – a huge breach of trust would come into play if I found out if any member of our team was massaging unethically, illegally during this shut-down.
  3. There are sanitation guidelines we have to maintain according to our massage liability insurance, as well, which is easier to manage and ensure are up to par within our own environment, rather than somewhere unknown and unfamiliar.
  4. We need our bars and equipment to do our best work. Or at the very least, we have to bring our big ‘ol Thai Massage mat, which is like a heavy futon. The amount of time and effort needed to set-up and tear-down that gear, plus clean it before and after, is not something I want to put the staff through at this time. (They also don’t have cars big enough to transport the portable bars and massage table, and all the gear we’d need to have to use offsite.)
  5. We still can’t risk becoming vectors of transmission for this virus just yet. We want to be at 100% to best help our community when we do reopen.

So, although we miss massaging so much, it’s safer and smarter to wait until the business location can reopen.

HOWEVER!

This is exactly why we created the COVIDeo Subscription Service!

Our entire team has contributed video “footage” to the project, where they are teaching you how to recreate their favorite massage moves. Each video has a combination of self-massage lessons and couples massage lessons available in bite-sized increments for you to work on yourself and your housemates, and help feel a little better in the meantime.

So if you are achin’ to get underfoot, BELIEVE ME, I understand and I feel the same way, but while it is ethically and legally not feasible for us to massage you, please consider signing up for the COVIDeo Subscription that we worked so hard to create for our clients!

Sign up here: you’ll get $10 off a massage for each month you are enrolled! (Some people already have two $10 credits to use on their appointments when we re-open!)

Thank you!
