Heeling Sole has your back… WE ARE STILL OPEN!
If you are nervous about being in close proximity to another human for an hour during this global pandemic, believe us, we are very concerned, too. But we know that San Antonio needs their time for “heeling” more than ever right now! For the entire month of March so far, we have been stepping up our already tight cleaning regimen at the office. Extra measures are being taken to sanitize and disinfect each massage room and the common area between clients. You can follow our Instagram #JeniSpringCleaning posts to learn more about all the disinfecting and sanitization practices that Heeling Sole has in place.
We are asking everyone who visits our space to wash their hands and arms up to their elbows and to even consider washing their face before and after each massage. Safety first! Rest assured: we are doing the same (including our feet up through our shins!)
If you have been traveling out of state, out of the country or to an area with known reported cases of Covid-19, we ask that you please consider the health of our staff, clients and their families who may be at greater risk of this virus – and wait 2 weeks for your massage. We do have clients who are vulnerable.
If you are experiencing symptoms or have a fever, we do ask that you cancel your appointment to reduce the spread in our community. We are suspending our cancellation fees but still request 24-hour notice when possible, in case our staff can stay at home longer and self-quarantine.
If you or someone in your household is immunocompromised, has severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes, or is an older adult, we are doing our best to protect your visit to Heeling Sole – we are here if you need us, but please consider the possibility of exposure, regardless of how many precautions we are trying to take here at Heeling Sole.
Please note that if any of our Sasquatch Staff show symptoms of the virus, or are knowingly exposed to someone who is, we are encouraging them to call in sick – and this could impact your appointments on short notice. We ask for your patience, understanding, and empathy for others as we try to responsibly navigate everything. We will do the same for you!
We ~may~ ultimately have to reduce hours to optimize our schedules while minimizing any financial risk for the business itself.
We may have to temporarily close: we don’t know yet.
Whatever happens, we will keep you posted.
Jeni is monitoring the moves of the City of San Antonio, our state massage board, as well as the massage industry, in general, to find the most responsible course of action moving forward. We are completely open to pausing our business to support social distancing – but are waiting to see what our leaders are recommending. Jeni has already canceled all local massage education courses for the month of March to limit exposure to Heeling Sole as a result of students traveling in from out of state – and all pop-up events for Heeling Sole in public have been postponed for the time being.
